Women in Conservation 2018 - Gina McCarthy
Audubon’s Rachel Carson Award is a national award which honors American women whose work has greatly advanced conservation locally and globally.
The Rachel Carson Award’s mission is to recognize female environmental leaders, inscribe their work on historical record, promote women’s roles in the environmental movement, and inspire girls and young women in environmental careers and activism.
Meet the 2018 Rachel Carson Award honorees:
- Gina McCarthy, former EPA Administrator and Professor of Public Health Practice at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
- Mary Powell, President and CEO, Vermont Green Mountain Power
- Dorceta E. Taylor, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & James E. Crowfoot Collegiate and Professor at University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability
