As you enter PartyPoker, you might be discouraged, thinking all you’ll find is poker. You couldn’t be further from the truth! 

PartyPoker Sports is fairly new on the scene, but don’t be misled by its youth. Design

PartyPoker Sports is pretty simple in terms of design and navigation. There is a bar at the top with all the different sports one can bet on by clicking on the icon. For each sport, the user can see the featured competitions and bets, as well as current betting opportunities, and a calendar with the schedule of upcoming matches. It runs on a more classic, technical approach to betting, with the usual three columns and plainly presented bets. It’s quite basic but straightforward.  

The poker site itself is more flashy, with bright graphics showing different promotions and ongoing tournaments. These graphics don’t provide a lot of information, just the title of their unique topic, which makes it more complicated. Users might feel overwhelmed rather than interested. It feels more cluttered, but there is still a bar at the top that shows promotions, scheduled tournaments, and everything else one might look for. At the bottom of the page, there are featured upcoming tournaments and poker news. 

The two different web pages are quite different in terms of style, with the first one being more clean and easy to navigate, and the second being more difficult to understand. Nevertheless, with both the user can find what they need and play. 

One major pitfall is that PartyPoker only allows you to play poker if you download their program onto your computer. This makes playing it more difficult and could put off less committed or new players. 

PartyPoker has an iOs and Android app accessible through the App and Google Play stores, but it is much more focused on poker and table games than it is on sports. Although they are available at all times, they are considered rather slow. Furthermore, there is no chat function, which is often very helpful for those who want a quick response without having to talk to someone over the phone. However, PartyPoker has an extensive FAQ section that can aid users with most of their basic questions and concerns. 

Registration

In order to initially register, you must provide your name, birthday, email address, physical address, and phone number. After this, in order to verify your account, you must upload a scan of your ID document or a bank or bill statement in order to prove your identity. Unlike other sites, PartyPoker only requires one of these documents, not both. PartyPoker aims to verify its users within 24 hours of uploading these documents.

PartyPoker’s accepted currencies are the British pound, Euro, US dollar, Canadian dollar, and Japanese yen and Russian ruble.

Overall, PartyPoker has a reliable reputation due to its long history and its owners. The poker side of the site receives much praise from the media, and is one of the leaders in the market, while the sportsbook is relatively new and could use some adjusting.

What do we suggest?

The biggest issue with PartyPoker is its lack of cohesion. The poker site, live poker site, and sportsbook are all on completely different websites, and you can’t navigate between them easily. This makes using all of their services much more inconvenient, which is why the sportsbook isn’t nearly as popular as the poker site. If PartyPoker were to combine all of its parts onto one site, it would be much easier for users to play and enjoy it.
