Award-winning activist songwriter Tom Neilson makes his Milwaukee debut in support of Veterans for Peace
On April 7, musician-activist Tom Neilson will be making his Milwaukee debut at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn to benefit Veterans for Peace.
Neilson is an award-winning songwriter and activist from Massachusetts who uses his original folk music to promote social change. Nielson has helped communities organize against water privatization, mountain top removal, nuclear energy, incinerators, GMOs, fracking and toxic waste.
Now Nielson is putting his efforts towards helping Veterans For Peace, an international organization made up of military veterans, military family members and allies that are dedicated to building a culture of peace, exposing the true costs of war and healing the wounds of war.
Nielson will present an evening of music, satire and social commentary beginning at 7 p.m. Linneman’s Riverwest Inn is located at 1001 E. Locust St. A $15 donation is suggested at the door.
