“Shakhtar ” had a confident fight against Craig, but then fell for the Scotsman’s trademark triangle. However, Krylov quickly got back on track and knocked out Alexander Gustafsson. Nikita still has a good chance to climb into the top 5, because he has striking technique, wrestling and BJJ. You can’t say that he makes any gross and irreparable mistakes. His defeats have more to do with his high level of opposition than with his lack of skill. The 30-year-old Russian gave a close fight to Ankalaev, took the fight with Teixeira on one card. He also had wins over Johnny Walker and Ovince St. Preux. Krylov will try to mix punching technique with wrestling. The variety of his style is his main advantage. If he fights Volkan only in a standing position the risks are much higher. But even in an upright position Nikita has something to offer the Swiss kicker. “Miner” has the title of master of sports in army hand-to-hand combat and in kyokushinkai karate. The 30-year-old fighter has quick, whipping kicks and almost no stamina issues. I expect Krylov to try to catch Oezdemir with a high kick.
