Stoke City – Arsenal. Gabriele Marcotti’s prediction
Stoke City match up well with Arsenal in my opinion. The Britannia isn’t the fortress it once was perhaps, but they’re on a good run and I think the prices being offered to back Arsenal are just too low. Arsen Wenger’s crew may be top, but some key men are still out and while the recent results have been good, they haven’t been overwhelming. Home wins against Sunderland, Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Manchester City (really the only impressive one of the bunch) and that was nearly a month ago. Away, they’ve beaten Aston Villa (no great feat), lost at Southampton, and drawn with Liverpool 3-3, thanks in part to some really bad defending from the opposition. For that reason, I like backing Stoke City +0.5 on the asian handicap with Ladbrokes at 1.91.
