Lazio – Verona. Gabriele Marcotti’s prediction
Lazio are firm favorites here, despite the fact that they still have a number of defensive players out (Radu, Basta, Bisevac and, of course, De Vrij) and despite the fact that they’ve actually won only once at home in Serie A since late October. Verona are still propping up the table, but they’re coming off two good results, a home win against Atalanta and their 3-3 draw with Inter. I think Lazio are simply too short and there’s value going the other way, so I’d recommend Verona +1 at 2.7 with William Hill, or if you’re with a more nervous disposition, Verona +2 at 1.55 (which is still better than backing Lazio outright at 1.44).
