Chelsea – West Ham. Gabriele Marcotti’s prediction
The bookies make Chelsea odds on favorites here and I’m not sure that I understand why. West Ham have lost once in the past three months. They have a shot at the top four and, at the very least, at getting into Europe.
Since Christmas, Chelsea have won just three of nine home games. And those wins came against Scunthorpe, Manchester City (in that game where Pellegrini fielded all the reserves) and Newcastle United, who are awful.
You can get West Ham +1 goal at 2.05 and that seems a reasonable deal to me.
