Barcelona – AS Roma. Gabriele Marcotti’s prediction
Gabriele Marcotti, a famous Italian football journalist working for ESPN, gives his view on upcoming Champions League match between Barcelona and AS Roma.
Barcelona are coming off an incredible high of the 4-0 drubbing at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid. Plus, they have Lionel Messi coming back. He came in as a sub against Real Madrid. So, the bookies are generally going in favour of Barcelona against Roma that played 2-2 in the Bologna game last weekend, which they really should have won. They were playing in the driving rain and gave up a late goal…
But I think there’s value in the draw here – it’s 19/4 (or 5.75) with William Hill. I think it’s inevitable that after such an emotional win Barcelona would take off foot from gas a little, as they don’t really need all three points here.
Another pretty decent option is taking the unders. Under 2.5 goals – you could get that at 15/8 (or 2.875).
