Betlive is a Georgian betting company offering online and in-store betting services. It has eight betting shops in Georgia. It was founded in 2017 and got licensed in 2018 in Curaçao by Antillephone N.V. sublicense. Betlive claims to be the first to present some projects and features in Georgia and even in the world. For example, in 2018 they created Betcoins – the first Georgian cryptocurrency. Betcoins can be generated by playing any slots on the webpage. 

Design and layout

Betlive’s website is neat, quite easily understood and navigated. No distracting images, ads, or other features were noticed. Also, a mobile version of the website is available. Both website and mobile versions have dark and light themes. Betlive has no mobile app for sports betting. However, Betlive offers a poker app, which can be downloaded to your computer or iOS app.

Although the website does support English and Russian languages along with Georgian, at some points one may get the impression that information is not fully translated or added in English and Russian versions too. For example, when you head to the promotions’ page you can find detailed information on each promotion available in all supported languages, but the ads for promotions – which usually give some basic knowledge on the promotion and attract bettors to learn more about it – are available only in Georgian. This point might be a bit off-putting and confusing for some users.

For some sports, there is live streaming, and you need a registered account to view these. Live match tracker service is available for most of the sports.

For newly registered users Betlive has a welcome bonus. To claim this, users need to fill up their balance with at least 10 GEL. It enables them to choose one of the 4 promotional gifts. Another feature worth mentioning is Matchmaker. Here you can create pairs from 2 different real events and then make a bet.

With Free Sport promotion users will receive 250 coins every day. They can use these coins to place bets on any sports event (pre-match, live, virtual, matchmaker). As you win more coins, you can exchange them for free bets. The minimum exchange amount is 5,000 coins (5 GEL Freebet), and the maximum is 50,000 coins (50 GEL Freebet). Free Sport Coins fill up daily with a maximum of 250.  For example, if you used only 50 coins, you will receive 50 coins the next day and your balance will become 250 again. Betlive recently added a new option – Combo – where you can benefit from your sports knowledge and intuition and win up to 1,000,000 GEL. At the beginning of a game, you receive a private account with 1,000 GEL and to keep that you need to answer some questions. You have to choose the number of questions you are going to answer, there are from 4 up to 19 questions with only 2 possible answers – “Yes” and “No”. You bet on one of the answers or allocate the money on both answers at the same time. The minimum bet is 5 GEL, and the maximum is 1,000 GEL.

Also, there is a 3+1 promotion in Betlive, and with this one, users receive a free bet as a gift for the third sports bet placed. The amount of the free bet is determined by the arithmetic mean of the placed bets. It doesn’t matter whether they win or lose, players can receive up to 20 GEL worth of free bets daily.

Betlive suggests multiple options for contacting them – it has phone and email support, as well as live chat working 24/7. However live chat seems to be more Georgian-based since there is no option for choosing other languages. Maybe this was the reason why our questions were left unanswered at first, and then, on the second try, we got just a “yes” as an answer. No matter what the reasons are, live chat definitely needs to be adapted for non-Georgian speakers as well.  

Registration

To register in Betlive you need to indicate your name and surname and make sure they are matching with the ones in your ID or Passport. Then, from a list of available countries pick yours (NOTE: the United Kingdom and the United States are among the restricted countries). Also, you need to provide your ID number, mobile number (you will receive an SMS code for verification), and an e-mail. For further verification, you also need to attach a digital copy of your ID or Passport. It is necessary to get verified in Betlive so that you can take part in promotions and withdraw winnings.  

Financial information

The only accepted currency in Betlive is the Georgian one – Lari (GEL). The minimum deposit amount is 1 GEL and the minimum bet amount allowed is 0.10 GEL.

Reliability, Integrity and Safety

On the whole, Betlive has some interesting promotions and a decent choice of services. It gives the impression of a trustworthy gaming portal. However, some issues like no cookie notice can be found on the website. Once you visit Betlive’s website, it will automatically collect your session information. And although Betlive states that your personal information is stored only until it is needed for the purpose it was collected, it is important to inform users about the cookie policy in the first place.  

What does the site not have?

It feels like Betlive is oriented mostly for Georgian users. It could adapt some of its services for foreign users as well, for instance, add other currencies, diversify payment systems on offer and up its game in terms of customer support.
