Wisconsin Film Festival announces its 2018 award winning films

Erik Ljung's Dontre Hamilton documentary, Blood is at the Doorstep, was one of the winners.
The Wisconsin Film Festival has announced the winners of its 2018 run.
The 20th annual Wisconsin Film Festival ran from April 5 to April 12. Presented by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the festival is the largest university-produced film festival in the nation.
After 149 screenings to over 26 thousand attendees, the films were then critiqued for several award categories. See below for a complete list of all of the award winners.

Audience Favorite Narrative Feature: Hearts Beat Loud by Brett Haley
Audience Favorite Documentary Feature: RBG by Betsy West & Julie Cohen
Audience Favorite Restoration/Rediscovery: Blue Collar by Paul Schrader
Audience Favorite Shorts Program: A World of Wisconsin's Own
Audience Favorite Big Screens, Little Folks Selection: Short But Not So Sweet: Revolting Rhymes and Isis + Osiris
Golden Badger Award Winners:
The Golden Badger Awards are chosen by a jury (in 2018, Kara Mulrooney, James Kreul and Xia Magnus). This year’s winners are:
- FUTURE LANGUAGE: The Dimensions of VON LMO by Lori Felker
- Great Light by Tony Oswald
- The Blood is at the Doorstep by Erik Ljung
