Chip dumping means that one player intentionally loses to another player, mostly in poker, to steal or launder the money.
How it works
Often, the first player binds a stolen credit card to a gaming account registered without the cardholder’s knowledge. The only method to embezzle the money is losing it to an accomplice, who in turn withdraws the winnings.
Special programs have learnt to calculate such deviant actions from players and, when notice suspicious activity, immediately alert security personnel. Those, in turn, check the suspects’ betting history and take appropriate actions.
