Welsh Open 2016: Day 4. Vladimir Sinitsin’s prediction
All top the players are playing quite solidly at this tournament. Only three players from Top-16 are out after three days. But maybe the underdogs will start to win now. Well, it’s tempting to bet on favourites.
We can expect Ronnie O’Sullivan to win his match. Yes, Yu De Lu had once defeated him, but we all know what happened to Pengfei who had the same statistics. But there are no nice odds on this game. Mark Selby will face Mark Williams. The Welshmen won two the last matches against Selby last year and he’s leading in head to head games 9:5. But we can’t predict a winner here as well.
We can be sure in John Higgins who’s facing Michael White, and in Judd Trump who’s facing Joe Perry. Higgins plays more solid and is more experienced. Trump also holds the cards in hand. We can take both with the accumulator bet.
Mark Allen was good on the third day and he surely can defeat Barry Hawkins who’s not so solid. The odds are not too high, but it’s better than nothing.
