Preliminary review and match prediction for Watford vs Brighton

Watford are currently on a league long ten match winless streak which facilitated former boss Claudio Ranieri’s departure.

Since Hodgson replaced him, Watford have failed to score any goals, but notably kept their first clean sheet of the season in his debut, a 0-0 draw away to Burnley last Saturday.

Both sides have scored 23 league goals this season, showing that scoring goals is a problem for both sides. However, it is Watford who need this win more desperately with Brighton looking safe.

Brighton boss Graham Potter was under fire a short time ago after going 11 games without a win (8D 3L).

However, two wins and a 1-1 draw away to Chelsea over the Christmas period eased the pressure.
