Watford – Sunderland. Tancredi Palmeri’s prediction
Looking at the stats, there doesn’t seem to be much hope for Watford today. The hosts have won only four of their last 20 games. And after such a strong first half of the season Watford have really gone off the boil, although having comfortably stayed in the division their main goal has long since been achieved. It seems almost laughable that the future of Quique Sanchez Flores is in doubt, Especially when we consider how good they were before Christmas. But their poor run of results, which includes only 2 wins at home in the last 9, both against relegated sides makes it easier to see why there is now some doubt. But here they have a chance to end what has been a good season on a high note. Sunderland completed the great escape in midweek and now that their safety is guaranteed you’d have to think they’ll take their foot off the pedal. Watford will have the home crowd behind them in this one, and, against a side who have now also achieved their goal, this looks a good opportunity for the hosts to sign off with a win.
