Valencia – Athletic Bilbao. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
Valencia have chances to qualify even after the defeat in Bilbao (0:1). But we must remember that only Matthew Ryan secured the result for Gary Neville’s team by saving some dead shots.
So Valencia now have two defeats in a row – from Athletic Bilbao and from Levante in La Liga, and now Gary Neville must pull the team together. Europa League is the only tournament where Valencia can achieve something this season. I can’t say that the success here will save them, but it’s never too late to mend.
Valencia will go forward, but Athletic Bilbao are good in defence. Valverde wouldn’t offer an open play to his opponent. So something interesting will happen just in the second half. I suggest to choose the second half as the highest scoring half here at 1.91.
We also can bet on Athletic Bilbao’s goal after the break, because Valencia wil give them space to attack, but it’s too risky.
