Sunday’s solitary Premier League match sees Tottenham Hotspur host Stoke City at White Hart Lane.

After winning so convincingly in the FA Cup last weekend, Tottenham found themselves knocked out of the Europa League by Belgian side Gent after a 2-2 draw at Wembley on Thursday night. This means that Spurs have won just once in their last four in all competitions.

Mauricio Pochettino has got his side well organised and they have one of the best defences in the league with just 18 goals conceded in 25 matches. However, it seems that even this excellent side of their game is having questions thrown at it due to the fact that they have kept just one clean sheet in their last four. Attack-wise, Spurs are pretty decent and have numerous threats in their team but, unfortunately for them, they still find themselves relying too much on Harry Kane.

After supposedly playing at home at Wembley on Thursday, Spurs are back to their real home of White Hart Lane where they have won their last nine matches in all competitions whilst they also have the second-best home record in the league with 32 points from 12 matches, conceding just five times.

Stoke have not played in almost a fortnight and so we could either see a refreshed display from them or a side who are severely lacking in match fitness. The Potters are currently 9th in the table after a run of just one defeat in their last five matches.

Mark Hughes’s side are not exceptional in either box with 30 goals scored and 36 conceded in 25 league matches. Furthermore, they have kept just one clean sheet in their last six in all competitions and have registered more than two goals in a match just once since 31st October 2016.

Away form has been pretty abysmal for Stoke and they have lost four of the last five matches on their travels and overall have taken just 12 points from 12 matches away from the Bet365 Stadium.

Coming back to White Hart Lane will be a big relief for Spurs and I expect them to do a job on a Stoke side who are poor away from home. ‘Tottenham Hotspur to Win to Nil’, at 6/4, is the bet that stands out the most.
