The Masters: day 5. Vladimir Sinitsin’s prediction
Here’s my prediction on Day 5: Mark Allen must defeat Barry Hawkins and Mark Selby must get a win over Ronnie O’Sullivan. Both Marks are just better prepared for their matches. If you don’t think so, I can remind you some words from O’Sullivan who said that he is not well prepared. And Mark Selby was fantastic in first five frames of his starting match. Both players will be under pressure but Ronnie O’Sullivan feels it more. Don’t forget that Mark Selby has absolutely best results on Masters tournament. So we go for Mark Allen and Mark Selby to win with handicap 1.5 frames. We can make an accumulator with these bets but let’s not jeer at the bookies.
There is one big question about the strategy of my future bets. At this moment, we have a positive balance (profit is somewhere near 147% – a number from snooker by the way). So should we just secure this balance or should we risk and get a better result?
My fingers itch to make some bets on tournament’s winner. Why bet? The best players on The Masters are now John Higgins and Mark Selby. You can multiply your stakes by betting on them by 5.50 and 9.00 respectively. Also, you can pick Neil Robertson to win at 4.33. Three bets will guarantee positive results. But mind that Judd Trump and Ronnie O’Sullivan can win too. So I’ll not suggest betting on that today. Let’s check the odds tomorrow.
I hope that my bet on total centuries will trigger. After seven games there are 10 centuries and we have eight games next with one final match. All century masters are on stream. We made that bet at the right time – today it’s 23.5 centuries at 1.73, not 21.5.
