Swansea – Manchester City. Mark O’Haire’s prediction
Swansea produced one of the upsets of the season last weekend when taking West Ham to the cleaners in the penultimate match at Upton Park. And the Welsh outfit have shown no signs of letting up before summer, especially at the Liberty Stadium where they’ve seen off each of their last four visitors.
The Swans could still sneak into the top-half of the Premier League by picking up maximum points against Manchester City on Sunday and Francesco Guidolin’s troops have already seen off Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea as hosts as well as holding Spurs and West Ham in Wales.
Swansea have shipped just three goals in their last seven home outings and they look underrated for their curtain-closer with City. The bookmakers allow us to back the home side with a +1 Asian Handicap start at the odds about 2.10 – a selection that will see our stake returned should the Citizens escape with a one-goal victory.
Man City have triumphed just once in their last four fixtures but only require a point to finish in the top-four. Nevertheless, Manuel Pellegrini’s men have bagged just four victories in 15 road trips now and appear far too short in the pre-match marks to add to that tally here.
