Sparta Prague – FC Krasnodar. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
I was frankly surprised by such high odds on total over 2.5 in this game. Both Krasnodar and Sparta have very good attacking potential. I saw Sparta in games against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League qualifiers, and they scored four goals in the two games. I also saw the game of Sparta against Dynamo Moscow at the training camp. The team are good physically, they have very interesting performers. And at home, they usually play more aggressively.
I’m picking total over 2.5 goals here. The odds are very good on that- 2.12. Clearly, this is the playoffs, it is clear that there are certain strategies, but it seems to me that Sparta and Krasnodar are unlikely to close up. It’s not their style.
I would also suggest Sparta’s goal in the first half. I think, the Czech club will make a bet on a strong start. They should have a definite advantage, because it’s the first competitive match for Krasnodar after a 2-month winter break. And Sparta have already played a league game and won. So, they will rush forward and can immediately score, inspired by their positive emotions.
