It’s all change at Stade Vélodrome as despairing Olympique Marseille chiefs sack coach Michel ahead of travelling to their Coupe de France semifinal, against Ligue 2’s Sochaux. Sunday’s defeat to Monaco meant Marseille had won just one of their last 12 in all competitions. A drastic move by the board, who have also just put the club up for sale, will not make any difference to what happens on the pitch. Marseille last lifted the cup in 2007 – beating since-relegated Sochaux on penalties – but I think they’ll do their best to compound OM’s misery. I’m eyeing up a draw with William Hill at 3.25.
