Serena Williams vs Svetlana Kuznetsova. Anna Chakvetadze’s prediction
Last year, they met here and Serena won easily: 6:2, 6:3. But Serena played better than now. In my opinion, this time Kuznetsova will give her a tougher competition, even though she’s unlikely to win. Even McHale and Diyas managed to give Serena some trouble. I do not rule out that the girls will play all three sets, but there is no certainty about that. So, I will just assume that the match will see over 18.5 games. Svetlana is not particularly good against younger players, but will be more relaxed against Serena. Kuznetsova understands that she is not the favourite, but this could suit her well.
