Serena Williams – Margarita Gasparyan. Anna Chakvetadze’s prediction
I suggested that Serena Williams wouldn’t lose a lot of games to Daria Kasatkina, even with the fact that Daria was playing well before the match against Williams. But Serena is unstoppable when she finds her game. Even with an unfamiliar opponent, she was good.
But we must keep in mind that Serena knows Margarita Gasparyan very well. They’ve played at Wimbledon and Williams won. I think she wouldn’t underrate her opponent. It will be tough sets for Gasparyan. She made some contest at that Wimbledon match, but that was on grass. Margarita feels more confident on grass than on the clay court. So now she has nothing to set against Williams. Serena will not give her opponent any chances. We can go for under 17.5 games here.
