Rostov – CSKA Moscow. Valeri Karpin’s prediction
This is a top game in Russian Premier League: the leader against the challenger, a six-pointer in other words. All players from Rostov and CSKA know that. The defensive lines of both teams are strong enough. CSKA Moscow are better in attack, but Rostov are not really far.
In the previous game between these two, Rostov were leading and almost stole points from the Moscow team. Now they can do it at home. CSKA can be satisfied even with a draw, because they are at the top now.
Kurban Berdyev’s team will not be upset with a draw too. They will secure the second place in the table which allows them to play in the Champions League next year. And the gap between two teams will not enlarge. Considering the level of players CSKA can be named a better team, so Rostov are unlikely to go for a win with all their efforts.
I expect a draw here, but it’s a draw with both teams scoring. It was almost a draw in their previous game, so now it surely can happen.
