Real Madrid – Sporting Gijon. Alexander Vishnevskiy’s prediction
Zinedine Zidane’s team should get an easy win. Even if Gijon managed to get a draw in the first half of the season, they have lost their momentum. They are 19th in the table. As for goals scored, they are among the worst 4 teams in the league. Nor is the best moment to go to Madrid, they had a week’s rest and have an optimal roster, except for Sergio Ramos’ minor injury.
The players of Real Madrid should make their best for their new coach. Cristiano Ronaldo should score, at least – he made 10 shots against Deportivo, with nothing to show for it.
The last game showed us that Zidane made the wings more effective, making wingbacks attack more often. Kroos played deeper and didn’t make high pressure. His deeper position let loose other midfielders. And the BBC moved well, making surprising good moves towards Deportivo’s defenders. I think Madrid will once again try to amuse their fans, and Sporting’s bad form will allow Real Madrid to score a lot of goals. Another option is that Real Madrid will win to nil.
