Rayo Vallecano – Las Palmas. Mark O’Haire’s prediction (VIDEO)
Over 2.5 Goals at 1.75 when Rayo Vallecano welcome Las Palmas to Vallecas on Saturday should be gobbled up.
Rayo have recovered well from their humbling 10-2 defeat at Real Madrid to give Atletico Madrid a severe test in the capital before W1-D3-L1 from their last five.
Paco Jemez’s men remain in the relegation places but know they can leapfrog Las Palmas with three points this weekend.
Goals tend to be the order of the day for the hosts – eight of their 11 at Vallecas have featured Over 2.5 Goals, as well as nine of their previous 10 anywhere.
And a huge 23/34 (78%) of Los Franjirrojos’ home battles with bottom-half clubs have also broken the goals line as they’ve failed to net in only six of that 34-match sample.
Since winning promotion back to the Spanish top-flight, Las Palmas have failed to keep a clean sheet on their travels.
The Canary Islanders have notched in seven of their 10 when playing away, including at Barcelona, Real Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Celta Vigo, so they should be capable of grabbing a goal here.
Only Barcelona and Real Madrid are averaging more shots-on-target on their travels whilst only Sporting Gijon have faced more as host than Rayo.
Seven of the Las Palmas’ 10 road trips have produced three goals or more with six featuring at least four goals, so our prospects of seeing another goal-heavy game this weekend look very strong.
