Qarabag v Viktoria Plzen Betting Tip

The first leg of this match ended in a 0-0 draw in the Czech Republic which is not a decent result for either side. Plzen will have wanted to make sure they got ahead in the tie using their home advantage whilst Qarabag will have wanted to secure a vital away goal. All of this makes this second leg very intriguing.

The 2015/16 Azeri champions made it to the Europa League group stage but finished bottom of their group last season and will be looking to make amends this season by trying to make it to the Champions League. The 2016/17 domestic season has not yet started for Qarabag so we can only judge them on European form. Their draw away in Plzen shows that they are capable of pulling off big results when required and they will be confident they can finish the job back in Azerbaijan.

Viktoria Plzen will be slightly concerned that they were unable to overcome Qarabag in the home leg, but, on the other hand, they’ll know that any away goal puts huge pressure on their opponents on Tuesday night. Roman Pivarník’s side have so far played just one game in their domestic title defence. They did win that game 2-1 but due to other results they are sitting in sixth place, however, being so early in the season this result almost bares no reflection on the tie against Qarabag.

As previously mentioned, this should be an intriguing game as both sides will know that one goal can potentially make a huge difference. With the home advantage, I would back Qarabag. The fact that they haven’t already started their domestic campaign means that they are fresher and can be judged as positive.

Another bet I would advise is Both Teams to Score as both sides need a goal. Whoever scores first can expect a rather aggressive response from the opposition.

If you fancy something a bit more risky, but with a good return, combining the above bets wouldn’t be the worst bet in the world.
