Below are our predictions and odds for the Premier League matchweek 14 matches including Manchester United vs West Ham United and Leicester City vs Manchester City.

Newcastle United vs Aston Villa

The Magpies are in top form following their recent unbeaten run of six matches. Newcastle have won four from their last five Premier League matches including back-to-back wins over Everton and Tottenham. They are 4th in the league and a win over Villa, who won their recent game following the sacking of Steven Gerrard, will be enough to keep them in the Champions League places.

Three of Newcastle’s last four home matches ended with under 2.5 goals. They host Villa, who are struggling in the face of goal but somewhat decent at the back, hence backing the tie to end with less than three goals.

Bet on Under 2.5 goals

Brentford vs Wolves

The Bees rather succumbed to a shock 4-0 defeat at Aston Villa last weekend but they are planning on bouncing back to winning ways against Wolves, who got trounced 4-0 by relegation-threatened Leicester City on Sunday. Brentford play at high intensity at home, which will prove too much for the Wanderers to cope with.

Three of Brentford’s last six matches ended with over 2.5 goals while four of Wolves’ last six matches ended with over 2.5 goals. This game could produce at least three goals at full-time.

Bet on Over 2.5 goals

Leicester City vs Manchester City

The Foxes are in top form, having won three of their last four league matches. They welcome the reigning champions in high spirit but while they are the underdogs for the early kickoff, we expect them to get on the scoreboard at least.

Both teams are good goalscoring sides. Leicester have scored 21 goals in 12 matches while City have registered 36 goals already. Expecting both teams to produce at least four goals at full-time is decent.

Bet on Over 3.5 goals

Fulham vs Everton

Fulham are a good goalscoring side but their backline hasn’t been as solid. Everton don’t score much either but will likely manage at least one goal in London.

Fulham are relentless and always try to start the game on the front foot. Everton are solid at the back. They don’t concede many goals, which could obviously influence the total number of goals in this game. We are going against odds that the tie ends with under 2.5 goals.

Bet on Under 2.5 goals

Liverpool vs Leeds United

The Reds are unbeaten at home in the Premier League since the signing of Virgil van Dijk and that will obviously extend when they host Leeds United this weekend. The Whites have been shocking this season and are likely to get torn apart by Liverpool.

Liverpool are struggling to keep clean sheets this season and they conceded against Nottingham Forest last weekend. Facing Leeds United at home should motivate them enough to shut another struggling side to get on the scoreboard.

Bet on Both teams to score NO

Bournemouth vs Tottenham

Spurs will look to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United when they face the Cherries away from home this weekend. They are the favourites to take all three points and we agree with the bookmakers.

Tottenham are decent at the back and only the best teams get through on goal. They will keep Bournemouth out, hence expecting the game to end with under 2.5 goals.

Bet on Under 2.5 goals

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Chelsea

The Seagulls are coming up against their former manager for the first time since Graham Potter left the Amex Stadium to join the Blues last month. They will want to make a statement and playing at home plus stealing the ball possession off Manchester City at the Etihad last weekend should be give them the belief that they can beat Chelsea.

Chelsea are good defensively as they have kept four cleansheets in their last six matches. They obviously not keeping a clean sheet at the Amex this weekend but the tie could end with under 2.5 goals.

Bet on Under 2.5 goals

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest

I’m sorry but Nottingham Forest’s win over Liverpool last season was a fluke. They were outplayed by the Reds but somehow got all three points at full-time. They were resilient at the back, I’ll give them that, but facing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and getting something off the Gunners is a massive stretch.

The Gunners are good goalscoring side but they have slacked a bit in recent games. They have managed three goals in their last three matches and dropped two points last weekend following a 1-1 draw at Southampton. But they are likely to improve their scoring against the Tricky Reds, hence expecting the tie to end with over 2.5 goals.

Bet on Over 2.5 goals

Crystal Palace vs Southampton

The Eagles are the favourites to win the game but facing a Southampton side that held the league leaders to a draw last weekend would be too much for them. We anticipate a draw at Selhurst Park at full-time.

Both teams are likely to get on the score sheet but it’s expected to be a game of either half.

Bet on Both teams to score YES

Manchester United vs West Ham United

When both teams meet, it’s more likely to end with under 1.5 goals. Last season United won at the death 1-0 at Old Trafford but this is a different United side under Erik ten Hag. They are relentless, hungry, committed, and united and are keen on blowing teams away. They dominated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Tottenham at Old Trafford and will look to do the same against West Ham United.

The Red Devils are struggling to keep clean sheets and the absence of Raphael Varane would boost West Ham’s chances of getting on the scoreboard.

Bet on Both teams to score YES
