Bottom of the pile Osasuna play host to high-flying Sevilla at El Sadar on Sunday in a match that presents the visitors with another guilt-edged chance to continue their march towards the very top of La Liga.

When striking late to overcome Real Madrid last Sunday, Sevilla proved once again that they’re not a team to be taken lightly in La Liga this season and, as each week passes, it would seem that the Andalusian side’s title challenge isn’t going to be short-lived.

With betting in mind, this is a fixture where the visitors are impossible to ignore. Quite simply, they’re a much, much better side than Osasuna and are expected to show their class on Sunday. At odds of 5/4 and 15/8 respectively, ‘Sevilla to Win & Over 2.5 Goals’ and ‘Sevilla to Score Over 2.5 Goals’ are two bets that catch the eye.

In recent seasons, matches on the road have been a problem for Sevilla; however, since the arrival of Sampaoli, it would appear that away-day-woes are a thing of the past as far as Los Nervionenses are concerned. The visitors might have only won four of their nine away matches, but they’ve only lost twice, while they come into this match in strong scoring form.

Having scored 17 goals on the road this season, only two teams (Barcelona and Real Madrid) have scored more away-goals than Sevilla. Sampaoli’s men recently stuck four past Sociedad – an achievement that probably won’t be matched this season – while they also scored three against Celta at Balaídos not that long ago – another feat that will be beyond most teams. In fact, all four of Sevilla’s away-wins this season have seen them score at least three goals.

Osasuna may have managed back-to-back La Liga draws under new manager Petar Vasiljević, but it’s hard to say they’ve significantly improved. They’ve still kept just one clean sheet all season and have conceded four goals in the two matches since their latest managerial change. Having conceded three against a poor Valencia side last time out at El Sadar, the hosts have now shipped no less than 18 goals on home soil this season, letting in three goals in four of their last five on their own patch.

Both Barcelona and Atlético have recently traveled to El Sadar and made light work of putting three goals away and it would be no surprise whatsoever if Sevilla were to do the same.

In addition, an ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ bet would have landed in all four of Sevilla’s away wins this season and in seven of Osasuna’s nine home matches, five of which ended in defeat for the hosts.

With nine goals in their last three matches (all-competitions) Sevilla have been flexing their attacking muscles of late and are expected to continue doing so in this fixture. Sampaoli has an embarrassment of forward quality at his disposal, while Vasiljević seemingly has very little. Against a side who’re yet to win at home this season, the visitors are fancied to hand out yet another heavy beating.
