Novak Djokovic vs Jo-Wilfied Tsonga. Anna Chakvetadze’s prediction
Tsonga’s win against Dominic Thiem was extremely confident. The Austrian played a lot of games recently and got tired. And Tsonga improved his game on the fast grounds.
Of course, Djokovic is a favourite, but he was not that good against Lopez. I think that now Novak is far from his best. His five sets against Kukushkin prove that. But even with all that I can’t see him losing to Tsonga. The French is playing not so good at this moment.
Djokovic is unlikely to get easy win. We remember his tough games against Bjorn Fratangelo and Philipp Kohlschreiber. And there was a outstanding game against Feliciano Lopez, but Djokovic got a special motivation in it, because the Spaniard once defeated him in Dubai. But can he motivate himself against Tsonga?
Now Djokovic looks thin-skinned. He makes mistakes and can’t keep the concentration during the whole match. Tsonga surely can offer battle and maybe he’ll win one set. He’s better then Novak’s previous opponents here. So I think that we’ll see more than 21 games.
