Newcastle picking their battles
The set up against Arsenal was a far cry from the swashbuckling display seen against Brentford the week before, which is to be understood considering the quality in an Arsenal side challenging for the top four.
Newcastle had some chances, but these were far outweighed by Arsenal and ultimately the Gunners came out 2-0 winners on the day.
Tuesday night represents a big opportunity for Newcastle to lift themselves from the bottom of the Premier League and Newcastle should fancy their chances at home against a Norwich side shipping an average of over two goals per game.

Norwich showing willing
Norwich is now unbeaten in their last three Premier League matches (two under Dean Smith), last time out they drew 0-0 at home to Wolves.
Given both sides inability to score many, a 0-0 draw is not a surprising result. However, Norwich created more chances than a Wolves side in the top half of the table which will be encouraging for the Canaries.
Though Norwich have scored just seven goals (only two away from home) in the league this season, they will fancy themselves to add to that against the league’s leakiest defence.
Newcastle United vs Norwich City predictions
Both sides will fancy their chances here in a battle of the bottom two with both teams recently appointing new head coaches who have implemented changes in philosophy which have made the sides more attack minded.
Norwich’s two away league goals to date came in their last away trip, a 2-1 win at Brentford. We believe Norwich can score here against the leagues worst defence. Equally Newcastle can also score, and we predict that both teams to score will come in.
We believe that although Norwich have started to introduce more attack minded players back into their team such as Todd Cantwell and Billy Gilmour, Newcastle has more quality in the final third and we believe this will be enough to secure Newcastle’s first win of the season.
