The Saints attack has in QB Derek Carr a player who needs to improve his performance a little and guide this attack to return to good performances. To help him, the team has WRs Michael Thomas and Chris Olave, who are the two best players in this attack. With the return of Alvin Kamara, RB Jamaal Williams returning from injury, the running game needs to get going again as the offensive line is full of injured players.

The defense has good names, but it is aging and has been trying to rebuild itself through free agency and not through the draft. They have DE Cameron Jordan and LB Demario Davis as the most experienced and skilled youngsters like LB Pete Werner, who did well last season.

Detroit Lions

Detroit’s offense has been playing very well with QB Jared Goff having great games and fitting in very well with this attack. The aerial game is very interesting with WR Amon-Ra St Brown and Josh Reynolds being very interesting, also counting on good work from the offensive line to increase the time inside the QB’s pocket. The running game has been weak, but RB David Montgomery should not play and, with that, what everyone asked for, which was greater involvement from Jahmyr Gibbs, should happen.

The defense has been playing better recently, but still has problems in some positions. I believe they have an average unit overall and that on a good day it could be a good unit overall.

Conclusion

Both attacks should have a favorable match here. The Saints tend to play better when they are at home and need to reduce the number of turnovers they have been committing. The Lions are doing very well offensively and should have an interesting match in that regard as well.

I believe this is a line that must be overcome in total with two attacks that are doing well and two defenses that have gotten worse throughout the season. I like the over in the game and I will go here as the best bet in the match.
