Preliminary review and match prediction for Liverpool vs Norwich City

Liverpool come into this match on a four game Premier League winning streak and also an emphatic 2-0 away victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League.

Mohamed Salah scored his first goal since returning from the African Cup of Nations in that win over Inter and will look to add to his league leading 16 goals against Norwich.

Liverpool defeated Norwich’s relegation rivals Burnley by just one goal last week. However, the Reds will be confident off scoring multiple goals against the Canaries who have conceded a league worst 50 goals so far.

Salah can be backed to score two or more with William Hill at an enhanced price of 3.75.

Norwich had been on better form of late, gaining seven points out of nine. However, last week saw the Canaries crumble to a 4-0 defeat at home to Manchester City.

In fairness, that result was not a major shock, but for Norwich having to face Liverpool the week after that, it will be very difficult to rebound positively.

Norwich’s Teemu Pukki scored in the very first minute against Crystal Palace on 9 February. If he gets off to another positive start, then anything is possible. Pukki can be backed at 12.0 for first goal if you fancy a long shot.

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, may take the opportunity to rotate his squad after the midweek win over Inter with Norwich being a favourable opponent. Diogo Jota will not feature after suffering an ankle injury in midweek. Jordan Henderson could start after only being deemed fit enough for the bench against Inter.

Former Liverpool defender, Ozan Kabak, will be trying desperately to be fit for this one but may only make the bench.
