Tottenham to avoid finishing the season empty-handed

The Spurs have a similar record to that of their Opponents in terms of form. In the last six matches, they won three, drew one, and lost two. At one stage of the season, Tottenham were leading the Premier League. Now they are battling for a top-six finish. They lost the EFL cup final to Manchester City and have an interim coach Ryan Mason after sacking Jose Mourinho.

The Spurs are in danger of missing out on European competitions next season. Everton and Arsenal are hoping the Lilywhites will slip up in their last match to snatch the seventh position off them. Tottenham have been unstable in their recent games. This match is like a cup final. Both teams have ambitions to finish in a better position than they are now in. Leicester are chasing a Champions League spot and have to win and wait for the Liverpool result. In worst cases, The Foxes will play in the Europa League.

Meanwhile, if Tottenham lose they can drop back to eighth or ninth and miss out on everything, while a win and a West Ham loss can see them play in the Europa League. 

We may see two different scenarios in this game. The first one is that both managers will play very cautiously and not deploy too many players forward and rely on an opponent’s mistake and take advantage. The second one is that we witness an open game as both teams try to take the lead early in the game and defend it.
