Leicester City to win
A lot of the time it is difficult to back against the new manager bounce, however, we believe the Marcelo Bielsa influence won’t be shaken off overnight. This Leeds team ship goals by the boatload and Leicester are more than capable of taking advantage of that.
Over 2.5 goals in the match
No Premier League team has conceded more than the 60 goals Leeds have so far, Leicester’s 43 goals conceded also places them amongst the bottom sides. Both teams play fluid exciting football, and this match should have goals in it.
Leicester City to win and over 2.5 goals in the match
The two bets above can be combined for odds of 2.4. Both sides’ matches average 3.42 goals a game while over 2.5 goals has occurred in 67% of Leicester’s matches and 65% of Leeds’ matches. We believe the Foxes will have enough quality to overcome the new manager bounce.

Preliminary review and match prediction for Leicester City vs Leeds United
Leicester’s 2-0 win over Burnley in midweek seen the Foxes end a five-game winless streak. The Foxes, however, left it late as James Maddison came off the bench to score in the 82nd minute, and Jamie Vardy netted in the 90th minute to mark his return after two months out injured.
Vardy can be backed at 1.75 to score anytime against Leeds.
Both men’s impact cannot be denied after coming on as 72nd minute substitutes and despite spending two months out of the team, only the Liverpool trio of Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane have scored more league goals than Vardy’s ten.
Maddison has spent time on the bench in recent matches and Jamie Vardy should be relatively fresh once he works his way back to full match fitness, Vardy’s return could be the catalyst for a march up the table for Leicester.
It’s all change for Leeds as a six-game winless streak and the prospect of being dragged into a relegation battle saw the Whites opt to change manager. Bielsa was sacked and promptly replaced by former RB Leipzig manager, Jesse Marsch.
His first task will be to shore up the leakiest defence in the league with Leeds conceding 60 league goals in 26 matches with 21 of these coming in just the last six matches.
Leeds is also the worst team on form over that six-game period picking up just one point during that time.
This sees Leeds just two points above the dropzone with both Everton and Burnley having games in hand over them.
Safe Bets
Given both sides’ leaky defences, both teams to score has a good chance of coming in and is priced at 1.53.
Both teams have scored in 62% of Leeds’ matches and 67% of Leicester’s while Leeds have only kept three clean sheets all season compared to Leicester’s four.
Leicester City vs Leeds United Team News
Leicester welcomed Vardy back to action in midweek but are still missing Timothy Castagne, Wesley Fofana, James Justin, Ryan Bertrand and Jonny Evans.
Leeds are missing Leo Hjelde, Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper due to injury. It remains to be seen what changes will be made by Marsch on his Premier League debut.
Possible Starting Lineups
Leicester City: Schmeichel, Albrighton, Amartey, Soyuncu, Thomas, Tielemans, Ndidi, Lookman, Maddison, Barnes, Vardy
Leeds United: Meslier, Ayling, Koch, Llorente, Dallas, Forshaw, Shackleton, Firpo, Harrison, Raphinha, James
Highlighted Player – Jamie Vardy
Vardy returned to the team against Burnley after two months out and needed just 18 minutes to get back on the scoresheet. There is no better team for Vardy to face to start off a possible goal scoring run than against Leeds. With Vardy likely to start he could score multiple goals.
