Krasnodar – Krylia Sovetov. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
Both Krasnodar and Krylia Sovetov are undefeated in their last six games. The Samara club are, historically, a tough opponent for Krasnodar. Oleg Kononov’s team were unable to get a win over Krylia for a long time. However, they finally managed it this season, and did it in style, recording a 4:0 win.
After being stunned by a draw in Kazan against Rubin, Krasnodar need to win all of their games if they are to stand any chance of finishing in a Champions League spot. On the other hand, Krylia have achieved everything they wanted to this season, and as they currently sit nine points above the danger zone they can relax and enjoy themselves. Frank Vercauteren’s team is quite organized and can defend as well, but, having said this, Krasnodar have more than enough motivation to get a result here. I can see them scoring one or two goals, but, given the visitors defensive qualities, not too many more. The best bet in this one looks to be a home win with under 3.5 goals in the game.
