Juventus v Dinamo Zagreb Betting Tips

Juventus may be top of Group H but their work is far from done. The Italian giants know that it’s down to them whether they win the group or not and, against a Dinamo Zagreb team who’ve failed to pick up a single point in the competition, this match provides them with the perfect opportunity to go through in style.

From a betting point of view, siding with the hosts is the only way to play this one, and so the bet to be on is ‘Juventus to Win -2 Handicap’. The Old Lady have been in impressive scoring form of late and are fancied to continue this against a Zagreb team who’ve been a long way off the level required to compete in the Champions League.

When these two met on match-day in Zagreb it was pretty much one-way traffic as the Italians cruised to a 4-0 victory. Now back in front of a home crowd, much of the same is expected and Juventus should be capable of recording a resounding victory in order to send themselves into the last-16 as Group H winners.

In their five Champions League matches prior to this fixture, Zagreb have scored zero goals and have conceded 13. They’ve lost by more than two goals on three occasions and it’s hard to see this not becoming four here. It’s probably fair to assume that the Croatian side might also come into this match with a motivation level that is fairly low. Other than pride, this contests means nothing to them, they cannot qualify, nor make it into the Europa League and it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect them to weaken their side in order to rest players for upcoming league matches – matches that carry far more significance than this one.

The host have been in good scoring form of late, notching no less than 14 goals in their last five matches. Although they’ve conceded in four of those, they are generally pretty tight at the back, especially at home, and it’s fairly hard to see this lacklustre Zagreb team causing them too many problems.

All things considered, Juve should have far too much for a team who’re already well out of the reckoning and the hosts are certainly worth backing to record a victory that sees them win by at least a three goal margin.
