FC Krasnodar – Zenit. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
These two teams returned from winter holidays in February. However, both not too successfully. Krasnodar were kicked out of the Europa League, not scoring a single goal against Sparta Prague.
Zenit lost to Benfica in the first leg of the Champions League. Both Zenit and Krasnodar won 1-0 in the Russian Cup, scoring their only goal in extra time.
0:0 in regulation time with Kuban was rather a coincidence, Zenit looked quite well. It seems to me that in the forthcoming meeting, the teams are unlikely to close up. I think there is a sense in picking total over 2.5 goals. The weather in Krasnodar is right, the turf is good. Both Krasnodar and Zenit created a lot of chances in their games after the winter break. That’s why I’m expecting an open game from Krasnodar and Zenit. It’s high time they showed they are able to score goals.
