Neither of these sides have any realistic goals left to play for in the Premier League in the remainder of this season with Everton unlikely to move from 7th whilst Leicester, who are now safe following earlier worries, will now be focusing on the rest of their brilliant Champions League.

Everton are on a bit of a bad run at the moment and have taken just one point from a possible six in their last two. However, it must be said that these matches came against Champions League chasers Liverpool and Manchester United. As mentioned above, Everton are likely to stay in 7th as they are three points behind Manchester United in sixth, who have two games in hand, and have a seven-point cushion over West Brom in 8th.

The Toffees have been reasonably good in both boxes throughout the course of the campaign with 53 scored and just 34 conceded in 31 league matches. They may not have kept a clean sheet in their last two matches but will be very pleased with the way they defended against a barrage of attacks from Manchester United in midweek. Additionally, they have scored in each of their last six games.

Where Ronald Koeman’s side will take real confidence from going into this match against Leicester will be his team’s home form. Everton are currently on a fantastic six-game winning streak at Goodison Park in the Premier League, keeping five clean sheets in the process. Furthermore, they have lost just one league match on home soil all season.

Leicester have bounced back remarkably under new boss Craig Shakespeare and have pulled themselves well away from the relegation zone thanks to five Premier League wins on the bounce. Shakespeare is the first English manager to win his first five Premier League game in a row.

The Foxes have gone back to the formula that worked so well for them last season in that they are once again defensively solid but have a cutting edge up front to finish teams off. They have kept two clean sheets in their last two matches whilst they have also scored over 1.5 goals in every match since Shakespeare took charge.

Shakespeare has only had one match in charge of Leicester away from their home ground of the King Power and that ended in a 3-2 victory over West Ham United, who are not great at home. Confidence will of course be pretty high given recent results but it will be very interesting to see how they perform on their travels against a team who are so good at home.

Although Leicester are flying at the moment, I find it hard to discount Everton here given their home form. The Foxes may have won their only away match under their new boss so far but I think this could be the end of the line. Toffees striker Romelu Lukaku, who has been in fine form this season, is also playing for either an even larger contract or a move in the summer and could really hurt this Leicester back-line who have not kept an away clean sheet in their last eight in all competitions. The Belgian has scored eight goals in his last four matches at Goodison and has found the back of the net in every home game since 19th December 2016. ‘Lukaku to Score Anytime & Everton to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1’, at 9/2, is the bet to go for.
