Espanyol – Barcelona. Valeri Karpin’s prediction
There were a lot of fun in the first Cup game between these teams – goals, bookings, sent-offs, fights and many interviews from the players and managers after the match.
I think it will be all the same in the second leg. Maybe Luis Enrique will bench some of the leaders because his team will definitely go into the quarter-finals. But anyway, I bet on the away team. Even with some reserve players in starting eleven, Barcelona are still stronger than Espanyol. All the more so, these reserve players like Arda Turan who needs more time on the pitch.
With all that, I expect Espanyol to score. They scored at Camp Nou and they can surely do it again in front of their fans in derby. Taking in mind the result of the first leg, Espanyol must go forward and try to rekindle some hopes.
