The largest and most prestigious award given to television programs and professionals, the traditional Emmy Awards arrives for its 75th edition, in a ceremony scheduled to take place at the Peacock Theater, in Los Angeles, on Monday night (15), the starting at 9pm, broadcast on HBO Max and TNT.

And as expected, many betting platforms are also eagerly awaiting the awards with odds available for different categories. To improve the dynamics here, I will leave the odds in parentheses next to the name of each nominee. Check out the best bets for the 75th edition of the Emmy Awards below:

Best comedy series:

Following the story of Carmen Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a chef who works in the best restaurant in New York and receives the news that her brother committed suicide, leaving a diner in Chicago as his inheritance, the series The Bear (1.40) appears as the big favorite to take the trophy in this category at bookmakers

However, the favorites have a relevant opponent here, as Ted Lasso (2.50) also appears highly rated for the award and, particularly, I like it more because it involves drama, comedy and sport when following the story of Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis), which gives rise to the title of the series, being an American football coach hired to coach a football team in England, without any experience for the position.

Other nominees include Abbott Elementary (10.00), Barry (12.0), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (30.0), Only Murders in the Building (40.0), Jury Duty (40.0) and Wednesday (50.0) also deserve praise, but they have a very remote chance of achieving anything beyond the nomination, especially because the trophy should go to The Bear, which has been accumulating praise and awards since its release in 2022 and in addition to earning several awards for the actors of Its cast has also won the Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards, justifying the favoritism of the Star+ series.

Prediction: The Bear (1.40)

Best drama series:

There’s not much to talk about here, as Succession (1.05), which follows the life and business of the Roy family and their four children, has been piling up awards in this category and appears almost unanimously, even though it has some very popular names known to the public as The White Lotus (10.0) The Last of Us (12.0), Better Call Saul (17.0) and The Crown (30.0).

Therefore, with around a 95% chance of winning (as indicated by the odds of 1.05), the triumph should really go to Succession, which was launched in June 2018 and is in its fourth season, totaling seven Emmys since its launch.

Prediction: Succession (1.05)

Best limited or anthology series:

A favorite in this category, the series Beef (1.30), from Netflix, follows contractor Danny Cho (Steven Yeuri) and businesswoman Amy Lau (Ali Wong) after a traffic dispute. A bet for your triumph in this category does not have very high odds, however, not as low as Succession, from the previous category, even with huge favoritism.

Here, those who should appear on the nomination list are the series Toby’s New Life (15.0), Daisy Jones & the Six (20.0) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (30.0).

The one that has a chance of surprising is the famous Dahmer: An American Cannibal (3.00), also on Netflix, which chronicles the youth of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (Evan Peters) until his adulthood, when he killed 17 people, but honestly I don’t believe we will have an upset in this category, since Beef has had 27 wins in 49 nominations since its launch.

Prediction: Beef (1.30)

Best Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series:

Evan Peters (1.40) is the one with wide favoritism to win in this category after playing serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the series Dahmer: An American Cannibal, this being his biggest role for an actor who, despite being only 36 years old, has already more than 20 years of experience.

However, the chances of an underdog winning in this category are relatively greater, considering that Steven Yeun (2.20), who played Danny Cho in the Beef series, appears as another strong candidate for the trophy and has already won 26 awards over the course of his entire career, including the prestigious Golden Globe, last Sunday (7), turning on the warning signal to unseat favorite Evan Peters this Monday (15) at the Emmys.

The other nominations go to Taron Egerton (20.0), Daniel Radcliffe (25.0), Michael Shannon (30.0) and Kumail Nanjianí (30.0). However, it would be a huge surprise if the statuette went to any of them, no matter how much they all shine in their respective works.

Prediction: Steven Yeun (2.20)

Best Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series:

In this category, the big favorite is Ali Wong (1.45), who played Amy Lau in the series Beef and already had the favor of bettors even before being awarded at the Golden Globes last week, which raised her confidence to also win the Emmy and crown his brilliant participation in Beef.

However, the competition is heavy when it comes to Jessica Chastain (2.20), who has already won the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in The eyes of Tammy Faye and has accumulated 60 awards in 132 nominations in her career and is looking for another triumph to grace his gallery, this time for his performance in George & Tammy.

However, the victory must go to Ali Wong, who must confirm his favoritism with all his merits.

Prediction: Ali Wong (1.45)

Best Actor in a Drama Series:

Macaulay Culkin’s brother, Kieran Culkin (1.35) was the big winner of the Golden Globe in this same category and arrives with broad favoritism over the other competitors for his performance in Succession.

The most curious thing is that Jeremy Strong (6.00) and Brian Cox (15.0), who also acted in Succession, are among the nominees in this category, which also includes Bob Odenbirk (4.50), for his performance in Better Call Saul, Pedro Pascal (12.0), from The Last of Us and Jeff Bridges (25.0), from The Old Man.

However, it is unlikely that any of them will be able to take the title out of Kieran’s hands, who won the Golden Globe and the Critics Choice Television Award.

Prediction: Kieran Culkin (1.35)

Best actress in a drama series:

And most likely the Succession series will yield another main character trophy, this time for Best Actress, considering that Sarah Snook (1.05), who also won the Golden Globe last week, must be more concerned with the victory speech than with the conquest itself, which should come to fruition without any major surprises.

Despite the “already won” atmosphere in this category, important names like Melanie Lynskey (6.50), who has already won 19 awards in her career, including the Critics Choice Awards and the Hollywood Critics Association Awards, precisely for starring in Yellowjackets, a series that was nominated for an Emmy, making it an interesting option for us bettors to put in a few bucks as it involves high risk and high reward.

Names like Bella Ramsey (10.0), Sharon Horgan (40.0), Keri Russell (40.00) and Elisabeth Moss (40.0) are also on the list, but are unlikely to have space in this dispute.

Despite believing in Sarah Snook’s triumph, her extremely hot odds and a strong opponent with prizes in other events and such high odds draw my attention, but it’s worth recommending an extra dose of caution here so that the “drama” doesn’t take all of our bank account.

Prediction: Melanie Lynskey (6.50)

Best Actor in a Comedy Series:

Owner of 10 career awards, including the Golden Globe, the Critics Choice Television Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award, all for his performance in The Bear, rising star Jeremy Allen White (1.05) has everything to add more a trophy to his gallery and despite also having extremely low prices, the chances of an underdog in this category are almost zero.

However, it is worth mentioning the nominations for the commendable Jason Sudeikis (7.00), Bill Hader (10.0) and Jason Segel (20.0), for their performances in Ted Lasso, Barry and Shrinking, respectively.

I know it seems contradictory to have such a low quote after avoiding betting on Sarah Snook in the previous category for the same reason, but here Jeremy Allen White’s victory appears to be just a mere formality, while there, I believe that Melanie Lynskey really divides opinions and gather more chances than your odds indicate, this being the main concept in the world of betting.

Prediction: Jeremy Allen White (1.05)

Best Actress in a Comedy Series:

Voted best actress in a comedy series at the 2018 Emmys, in addition to multiple Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Critics Choice titles, all for her role playing Miriam Maisel, in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Rachel Brosnahan (5.00) arrives with the expectation of achieving another title in his career, however, she does not have as much prestige among the oddsmakers, who point to Quinta Brunson (1.15) as the big favorite for the trophy.

Brunson recently won the Golden Globe for her appearance in Abbott Elementary and became the darling of bettors, who doubled down on her Emmy win, which left her with such low odds and, in my opinion, worthless, considering that her main challenger, Rachel Brosnahan, has the best value for money in search of the second Emmy of her career, being another excellent underdog option due to her odds, while Christina Applegate (8.00), Jenna Ortega (8.00) and Natasha Lyonne (20.00) are on the outside in this dispute.

Prediction: Rachel Brosnahan (5.00)

Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series:

Current two-time Emmy champion in this category after winning in 2022 and 2023, Rhea Seehorn (2.00), who works in Better Call Saul, shares favoritism with Jennifer Coolidge (2.00), from The White Lotus in this category that still has J. Smith Cameron (12.00), Aubrey Plaza (15.00), Meghann Fahy (20.00), Elizabeth Debicki (20.00), Sabrina Impacciatore (25.00) and Simona Tabasco (30.00), who stood out as supporting actors in their respective series, but they should remain as supporting actors in this category.

In the fight for the trophy, Rhea Seehorn and Jennifer Coolidge are given identical chances by the oddsmakers, but I believe that the actress from The White Lotus, a series released in August 2022, breaking the audience record for its debut on the HBO channel, with more than 10 million of viewers on all platforms, characterized by being a prequel to the even more famous Game of Thrones and, therefore, giving Jennifer Coolidge greater visibility and status to also break Rhea Seehorn’s winning streak at the Emmys, appearing as a technically fair option and commercially more profitable than Seehorn’s third championship.

Prediction: Jennifer Coolidge (2.00)

Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series:

In her first Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Sydney Adamu in the series The Bear, actress, comedian and screenwriter Ayo Edebiri (1.65) made history by winning the trophy and has everything it takes to also be successful at the prestigious Emmy this monday.

Her main competitors are Sheryl Lee Ralph (2.75), who acted in Abbott Elementary, and Hannah Waddingham (5.00), from Ted Lasso, but without the same expectations as Ayo Edebiri, who should be chosen here.

Prediction: Ayo Edebiri (1.65)
