Whilst many criticise this group as being ‘weak’ it is actually the only true Champions League group with three domestic champions out of the four teams – all other groups have two champions at most.

Club Brugge won their 14th Belgian Pro League title last season which ensured passage to the group stages for this season. However, their start to this domestic campaign has been a disaster with Michel Preud’homme’s men lying in a lowly 10th place and they are without a win in their last three matches.

The Champions League will no doubt prove to be a distraction from Brugge’s stumbling league season, whether it is a good or bad distraction is another thing.

Last season’s surprise Premier League champions will feel they have a great chance of coming through this group rather than just going along for the ride.

Domestically, however, the start of this campaign has been rather disappointing and they find themselves 16th in the table. Of course there is still plenty of time to recover but it is highly unlikely that they will be challenging for the top four this season. Having said that, Claudio Ranieri has said that he is first aiming for safety and then top 10 in his realistic view where they should be come May.

People have said that Leicester’s 4-4-1-1 formation has been their downfall this season as, especially without the energetic N’Golo Kante in midfield, they are outnumbered in the middle of the park. Therefore the Foxes may change formation in Europe.

Despite their stuttering league form, I would still back them to do well in this Champions League group.

Leicester do not seem as solid this season and it would not surprise me if both teams score on Wednesday, which you can get for 4/5. However, I would still back them to win against this out-of-sorts Brugge side who they are also better than on paper – the Leicester win is priced at 8/5.

I also think the Over 2.5 goals market is worth looking at. You can get that as a straight bet at 11/10 with William Hill or combine it with Both Teams to Score at 11/8, again with William Hill.
