Chicago Bears

The Bears’ main offensive question is how QB Justin Herbert will carry this team. In fact, this issue is not just about Fields and also concerns the Bears’ offensive coordinator, Luke Getsy. It’s about how well Getsy prepares and what is put in place around Fields. To help him, the team has good WRs in DJ Moore and Darnell Mooney, but the latter needs to stay healthy. The running game will have RB D’onta Foreman as the starter.

The defense had a large investment made by the board with the acquisition of LB Tremaine Edmunds and DEs Montez Sweat and Yannick Ngakoue. With this, I believe that the unit will be more aggressive with blitzes and fundamentally faster with very interesting LBs in the middle.

Detroit Lions

Detroit’s offense has been playing very well with QB Jared Goff having great games and fitting in very well with this attack. The aerial game is very interesting with WR Amon-Ra St Brown and Josh Reynolds being very interesting, also counting on good work from the offensive line to increase the time inside the QB’s pocket. The running game has been weak, but RB David Montgomery should not play and, with that, what everyone asked for, which was greater involvement from Jahmyr Gibbs, should happen.

The defense has been playing better recently, but still has problems in some positions. I believe they have an average unit overall and that on a good day it could be a good unit overall.

Conclusion:

Both teams have great kickers, so that’s not exactly what I’m worried about in this match. My point of concern for this bet is precisely the lack of opportunities for them to shoot and try to score these field goals. Something that can help is the fact that we have a big rivalry and, in these cases, the teams try to be less bold.

I believe that if given the opportunities the kickers will score and I see these over field goals with an odds more than doubling as the best bet in the match.
