Celta come into this one as strong favourites, and, given the respective league standings of these two, it’s hardly surprising. However, Celta have already claimed a victory of sorts without a ball being kicked.

On Sunday, Valencia played out a 2-2 draw against Getafe, which means Celta have now secured the Europa League spot. Even if Celta now finish seventh below Sevilla, they will still be in Europe next season, as Sevilla are playing in the Spanish Cup final and have thus also secured their Europa League spot.

This shouldn’t mean that Vigo lose all motivation though, as they will still want to perform in front of their own fans. And they can still fight for the fifth place in the league, which would allow them to return from the summer break a little bit later. This is the motivation for which the players are really ready to fight for! In addition, Celta still have a very slight chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

Although Celta do still have some degree of motivation ahead of this one, it is unlikely to match that of the visitors, who are in big need of all the points they can get in order to remain in the division. They are just one point away from the relegation zone at this moment in time, although a win would see them go four clear with three to play. With this in mind, you’d have to expect any attacking game here, one which sees an abundance of scoring chances.

The latest Celta matches, which is a surprise, given they have Nolito, Iago Apsas, Guidetti, Orellana and Pablo Hernandez. Granada concedes an average of 2.06 goals in away games. Moreover, their defensive players Ricardo Costa and Ruben Perez are suspended.

Granada’s El-Arabi and Penyaranda are also capable of scoring, having shown good performance in recent matches. Therefore, it’s hard to look past anything other than a high-scoring game here tonight.
