Two of the La Liga new boys go head-to-head on Monday night as Leganés welcome Osasuna to Estadio Municipal de Butarque. It’s been a tough few months for both of these two sides in the Spanish top flight, although this match represents a good opportunity for both to gain a bit of respite.

The bet that catches the eye ahead of this one is ‘Both Teams to Score’. While neither of these two look the strongest going forward, they have looked weak at the back and it is this fact that is likely to encourage both to have a real go here – that and knowing that taking points off of what are likely to be fellow relegation candidates is of critical importance when fighting for survival, even at this early stage of the campaign.

In front of their own fans, Leganés have scored four and conceded 12, again not great stats but they do match-up quite nicely against their opponents here. Osasuna have conceded 12 on the road and have found the net on eight occasions. As touched on above, four goals isn’t a great total, but the hosts have only failed to find the net in two of their opening five matches, and, considering their opponents have been Sociedad, Sevilla, Barcelona, Valencia and Atletico Madrid, they can certainly be forgiven for such a poor return. Things will certainly get easier and this match against Osasuna presents a much more realistic task.

When playing away from home, Osasuna have certainly been able to score goals but they’ve conceded at a fairly alarming rate – something that bodes well when seeking ‘Both Teams to Score’. The visitors have scored at least once in all five of their matches on the road, while they’ve conceded on each occasion also. Put this together with Leganés ‘Both Teams to Score’ stats at home and you get 8/10. On this basis alone, a price of 11/10 here is surely too big and is definitely worth being on.

The stats look good ahead of this one and both teams are fancied to have a real go. Leganés will take confidence in the fact that this is a much easier game than any of their previous at home and should be up for it, while Osasuna have acquitted themselves well on the road this season and it would be a surprise if their scoring run ended against a side who’re yet to keep a clean sheet on their own patch.
