Carina Witthoeft easily defeated Tamira Paszek in the first round and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova had big troubles against Klara Koukalova. It was not an easy win for Pavlyuchenkova and I think that she is having a lack of confidence now. That’s why her results are not so good at the start of the season. There were a lot of unexpected mistakes against Koukalova who wasn’t offering something special to Pavlyuchenkova. Witthoeft herself is a kind of player that can surely make any mistakes, but if she feels that Pavlyuchenkova is not ready to play, she’ll be more confident. She has a good serve and she is good on fast courts. So I’m not impressed by Pavlyuchenkova and I don’t expect an easy win from her. So we can go for total match games over 20.5 here.
