You can’t deny the impact that Shaun Derry’s made at Cambridge since his appointment. The U’s have W6-D3-L4 under his watch – that’s a 1.62 points-per-game average and a play-off push is well within their grasp.

Cambridge’s goals-per-game record has also been moving along nicely. The hosts are scoring an average of 1.69 goals-per-game, leaking 1.31. Those 13 fixtures have produced nine Both Teams To Score winners with eight featuring at least three goals as the U’s have kept just two clean sheets and fired blanks on only three occasions.

After a slow start to 2016, Derry’s side bounced back into action with an impressive 3-1 victory over Leyton Orient last weekend and I like the idea of getting goals onside again here, with 1.83 on offer For Both teams To Score.

Since the start of this season, a huge 18/29 of Cambridge’s League Two matches have rewarded BTTS backers, including 11 of their 14 outings at The Abbey.

Visitors Dagenham have a fantastic record for scoring on the road despite their relative struggles. I went back to 2013/14 and the Daggers have scored in 48/60 away fixtures with 40 (67%) proving profitable in our chosen market – including 11/14 this season.

John Still’s side have kept a solitary clean sheet away this season, have the division’s second worst defence and only three sides have faced a higher average of shots-on-target on their travels.

Combine the two teams home and games and a huge 22/28 have seen Both Teams To Score – the 79% success rate implies odds of around 1.20, making the 1.83 on offer one of the best value BTTS bets of the season.
