Bury FC V Morecambe FC Betting Tips
Outside of the joke that is academy teams from the bigger clubs taking part in the tournament, the Checkatrade Trophy has thrown up some exciting fixtures in this round. Bury v Morecambe looks like there could be a well nicely priced upset.
Despite a good start with their victory against recently-relegated Charlton Athletic, Bury have stuttered in recent weeks and have still not recorded a win since the opening day. However, David Flitcroft’s men will be buoyed by the fact that they came from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with promotion hopefuls Walsall.
Up until that match goals had been a problem for Bury, they tried to rectify that by signing James Vaughan on free transfer from his boyhood club, Birmingham City. Despite not scoring any goals during his six month spell at St. Andrews, the 28-year-old netted on his debut. Perhaps this is the start of a revival for the Shakers.
Morecambe have made a flying start to the season and have so far taken maximum points from all of their games bar one. Additionally, they more than held their own in the League Cup tie against Bournemouth.
With the Shrimps excellent start to the League Two season I would certainly back them to cause an upset against their League One opponents on Tuesday. The price on that is a very generous 49/10 and is certainly worth a punt.
A second bet I would go for is Both Teams to Score at 1.91. Both of these sides seem to be in good goal-scoring form lately whilst their defences are certainly prone to mistakes.
