Bookmaker Ratings prediction one: Manchester United to Win – 1.57
Bookmaker Ratings prediction two: Correct Score: Burnley 0-1 Manchester United – 7.0
Bookmaker Ratings prediction three: Burnley +2.0 Goals Handicap – 1.44
Manchester United to Win
Man Utd produced their best performance of the Ralf Rangnick era when they beat Burnley 3-1 at Old Trafford at the end of December and having claimed three points on each of their last five visits to play the Clarets at Turf Moor, the Red Devils are our favourites to prevail again.
Correct Score: Burnley 0-1 Manchester United
United have been averaging a very modest 1.15 goals per 90 minutes since Ralf Rangnick joined the club on an interim basis, though the team have looked more organised defensively under the German’s instruction. Three of United’s five Premier League wins under Rangnick finished 1-0 in their favour and a similar outcome looks possible when the Red Devils face a Burnley outfit that failed to notch in five of their last seven assignments.
Burnley +2.0 Goals Handicap
Manchester United’s lack of thrust in the final third could be taken advantage of with a stake on Burnley in the +2.0 goals handicap stakes on Tuesday. United have scored one or fewer times in five of their last eight Premier League fixtures and they only registered a single effort when they last visited Turf Moor in January last year.

Preliminary review and match prediction for Burnley vs Manchester United
Manchester United’s nightmarish campaign produced another ghoulish result on Friday evening when they were dumped out of the FA Cup on penalty kicks by Championship outfit Middlesbrough at Old Trafford.
The profligate hosts mustered 30 attempts against Boro, though United failed to convert a series of glaring opportunities and were eventually punished, first by a controversial equalizer and then on spot kicks after extra time.
A meeting with the Premier League’s bottom club Burnley could offer the ailing Red Devils the chance to bounce back straight away, however.
The Clarets were held to a 0-0 draw at home by relegation rivals Watford in their last outing and their latest toothless performance was greeted by a chorus of boos at full time from the frustrated hordes at Turf Moor.
Burnley have games in hand over the teams just above them in the table, though their run of nine straight matches without a victory suggests they lack the confidence and quality to take advantage of their inferior fixture count.
Fourth-placed Man Utd are still far from convincing under interim-boss Ralf Rangnick, though they have lost just once in eight Premier League assignments since the German’s arrival in early December and United will be targeting their sixth straight victory over Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday evening.
Improvements have been made at the back however, and United – who have shipped just six times in eight league games – could lean on their new-found defensive solidity to squeeze past a Burnley side that has notched just 16 times in 19 league matches this term.
The Clarets will hope that January signing Wout Weghorst can have a greater impact on Tuesday than he did on his debut, though United have a major point to prove after their latest horror show on Friday and with the head-to-head record in this fixture on their side, the visitors are worth backing to win.
Safe Bets
With both teams struggling to create and convert in the final third, a contest decided by slender margins is anticipated on Tuesday. 100% of the last seven encounters between Burnley and Man Utd at Turf Moor have produced under 2.5 goals and we expected their latest tussle to follow suit.
Get Quick Rich
Maxwel Cornet has been a breath of fresh air at Burnley since his summer move from Lyon and the versatile Ivorian offers plenty of attacking threat. Cornet racked up three or more attempts in each of his last three Premier League appearances and the 25-year-old can be backed at 5.0 to let fly with at least three shots again against Man Utd.
Burnley vs Manchester United first goalscorer
Bruno Fernandes has been missing some guilt-edged chances in recent weeks, though the Portuguese midfielder gets in more threatening positions than most and we think his luck could turn soon. Both of Bruno’s last two Premier League efforts were opening goals for United and at 5.5, the 27-year-old is a solid bet to get his team off the mark again on Tuesday.
Burnley vs Manchester United Team News
Matej Vydra, Ashley Barnes and Johann Gudmundsson are all out injured for Burnley, while Charlie Taylor is considered a doubt. Josh Brownhill is back from suspension however, and should slot back into midfield.
Victor Lindelof could miss out again for Man Utd, though Alex Telles, Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard should all return to the matchday squad. Paul Pogba should keep his place in midfield while David de Gea should reclaim his place between the sticks.
Starting Lineups
Burnley: Pope – Roberts, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor – McNeil, Westwood, Brownhill, Cornet – Rodriguez, Weghorst
Manchester United: De Gea – Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Shaw – McTominay, Fernandes, Pogba – Rashford, Sancho, Ronaldo
Highlighted Player
Dwight McNeil
Dwight McNeil was a member of the Manchester United academy as a youngster and the Burnley winger will be keen to impress against his former club. The 22-year-old has been a consistent performer this season, though his return of zero goals and just one assist in the Premier League so far needs to be improved upon.
