Prediction on Brighton & Hove Albion vs Newcastle United
For the Brighton and Hove Albion vs Newcastle United prediction, we say Brighton will win 3-1 and this is why. The Seagulls will rather look to avoid losing at home again, having embarrassingly lost 3-1 at home to West Ham last weekend. De Zerbi’s side is stronger at home while the Magpies, who are coming off the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to Liverpool last time out, are somewhat shaky on the road. This will serve as an advantage for Brighton.
We predict both teams to score for Brighton and Hove Albion vs Newcastle United and this is why. Brighton have failed to keep a clean sheet in their opening three Premier League matches and because the Magpies are also a superb goals coring side, having scored six goals in their first three Prem matches, we expect at least one goal on both ends.
Match Preview on Brighton & Hove Albion vs Newcastle United
Brighton were embarrassed in front of their own fans when West Ham United schooled them to a comfortable 3-1 win. De Zerbi’s men will look to provide a response to that defeat when they host Newcastle United this weekend. Prior to the defeat, the Seagulls had thrashed Luton Town and Everton 4-1 each.
Newcastle United were left frustrated after they succumbed to a painful 2-1 home defeat to a Liverpool side that went one man down while trailing by Gordon’s opener. Two late goals from Darwin Nunez turned the game around for Liverpool. Eddie Howe and his players are aware they need a response this weekend and getting it off Brighton looks like a stretch, given they are playing at away. Before last weekend’s defeat, the Magpies had won Aston Villa 5-1 at home and lost 1-0 at away to Manchester City.
Predicted Starting Lineups;
Brighton: Verbruggen, Milner, Webster, Dunk, Estupinan, Grob, Gilmour, March, Welbeck, Mitoma, Pedro
Newcastle United: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Burn, Botman, Guimaraes, Joelinton, Tonali, Almiron, Isak, Gordon
