Brazil vs Chile: Predictions and Betting Tips
The Brazilians have won the Copa America nine times and will have high hopes of a tenth, knowing that they are the best team in South America today.
The Brazilians finished top of Group B with three wins and a draw. They scored ten goals and conceded just two.
With players of the level of Neymar, Casemiro, Alisson and Militão, it is hard to imagine that the Brazilians will not win this Copa America.
The Chileans have won the Copa America twice, in 2015 and 2016. Although they are not playing at their best level at the moment, most of the players in this year’s competition were part of these two winning teams.
The Chileans finished fourth in Group A, with one win, two draws and one loss. They scored three goals and conceded four.
Since 2000, the Brazilians and Chileans have faced each other 17 times, with the Chileans winning only twice.
- Eleven consecutive matches without losing for Brazil, comprising ten wins and one draw
- Brazil have only conceded two goals in their last eight matches
- Three draws, one win and one defeat for Chile in their last five games
- Chile’s last five games have ended with under 2.5 total match goals
Brazil vs Chile Predictions
We see Brazil as the clear favourites to win this match. As a collective, they are far superior but they also have a number of highly-talented, individual players that can curry the match in their favour. In addition, the Chileans are performing notably worse than any other time in recent years.
We expect the Brazilians to follow tradition by taking an offensive approach against the Chileans. There will be a lot of hard tackles on their opponents and it would not be unexpected if a player gets sent off before the end of the game.
